...Now that kind of character is quite lacking in the egg’s mother, Mayzie LaBird, a glittery showgirl with a big need to stand in a bright spotlight. Billie Wildrick was terrific in the role, with a major voice and some pretty appealing moves, sympathetic even for her weaknesses.
