I used my iPod and Micro Memo to record this through the monitor in my dressing room during the final performance of “Into the Woods” at the 5th Avenue Theatre in the fall of 2007. You will also hear Ireland Woods as Little Red, Bob DeDea as the Baker and Eric Ankrim as Jack. Ian Eisendrath was conducting the gorgeous orchestra. Mark Waldrop directed the show.

The first voice you hear is the lovely Beth Devries, the second is me, and you will also hear Abby Pollard. James May did the beautiful arrangement and plays piano on the track.

This is another song by Rob Jones and lyricist, Donna Rae Davidson from the Oregon session during the “Rhinestone Cowgirls” vocal scare (see “I Miss My Dad). This song was written for the 5th Avenue’s Adventure Musical Theatre’s first version of “ A Northwest Bookshelf” but cut before the tour began. I was with the AMT company at the time, my first job with the 5th, fall 2002. Listen for Red the dog on the recording - also me :)

This is a song by Rob Jones and lyricist, Donna Rae Davidson from their awesome version of Cinderella, “Cindy Elle.” It was recorded near Ashland, Oregon during a summer I was belting a show called “Rhinestone Cowgirls” 12 times a week in a smokey cabaret. You can hear the thickness in the voice. I was very upset at the time fearing that my voice would never come back...

This is a live recording from a cabaret performance at Thumper’s in Seattle before it was sadly turned into condos. The show was called “A True Store.” Rob Jones is on piano. Hallelujah is perhaps my favorite song by my long-confirmed favorite poet, songwriter and human, Leonard Cohen.

This is an awesome song written by Bruce Whitney for an adaptation of Shakespeare’s 12th Night called “A Rock and Roll 12th Night” by Scot and Linda Whitney of Harlequin Productions in Olympia. I had an awesome time playing the character Olivia as Madonna circa Blond Ambition. I think Bruce really captured the essence of what makes Madge the queen of pop.
