Who's Billie?

Billie has been seen on stages across the country - NYC/Broadway, Washington DC, the Twin Cities, Sacramento CA, and Sarasota FLA - as well as on her beloved home boards of Seattle where her work in Cabaret (Sally Bowles) at Village Theatre, Sunday in the Park (Dot/Marie), Guys and Dolls (Miss Adelaide), Wonderful Town (Eileen) at the 5th Avenue Theatre, Das Barbecü (Brünhilde), Vanities (Mary) at ACT and Seussical (Mayzie la Bird) at Seattle Children's Theatre has been celebrated with 3 Gregory nominations, a Gregory Award and 3 Footlight Awards. You may also have recently caught Billie as Babe Williams, Carrie Pipperidge or Evelyn Nesbit in the 5th Avenue Theatre’s productions of Pajama Game, Carousel or Ragtime or one of several productions she’s directed – most recently, Annie at The 5th Avenue Theatre, Little Shop of Horrors at Shoreline CC, Scott Warrender’s Peanutty Goodness at Theater Schmeater, Murder Ballad at SideCountry Theatre, Jesus Christ Superstar at Seattle Musical Theatre or The Unsinkable Molly Brown at Showtunes Theatre Co. Billie debuted on Broadway with Scandalous and is featured on that Original Broadway Cast Recording as well on the original cast recoding of Broadway’s A Christmas Story (in the creamy radio quartet), and on Café Nordo’s Music for Dining Vol. 1.... ...Billie is a proud founding member of the golden age girl trio, The Riveting Rosies and the pop country trio The Calamity Janes (Naomi Morgan Productions). You also might recognize her voice from the characters she’s voiced on two Nancy Drew games for Her Interactive™ or Thomas Regin’s original song “The Word I couldn’t Keep” from Nancy Drew: Sea of Darkness. Billie has written and performed her own original work at the Seattle Fringe Festival, SPFLiberty Deli, Thumpers and The Studios. Billie is not at all famous for Rita’s running piano ad lib in White Christmas or playing Dyanne in the first music-stand reading of Million Dollar Quartet at the coolest event of the year – the Village Theatre Festival of New Musicals- but she sure does delight in over-developing ensemble roles, making the band laugh and new works at all stages of development. Billie has been teaching many facets of musical theatre arts to all ages around and about Seattle for the last 10 years (the 5th Avenue, Freehold Theatre, Village Theatre) and has enjoyed running song interpretation/are-you-sure-you-want-to-do-this-with-your-life-? master classes at schools far and wide. Billie is also a Training Consultant at Ovation Communication specializing in professional presence, storytelling for business, emotional intelligence — with a unique twist, and mastering the art of human interaction. Billie takes life lessons where ever she can get them with an emphasis on the wisdom of Maya Angelou and Leonard Cohen.
